Good afternoon and welcome. My name is _celebrant_ and I am a qualified marriage celebrant and authorized by law to officiate this marriage today. I am honoured to be here and to be a part of this very special occasion.

On behalf of _groomname_ and _bridename_ I welcome you to witness their marriage, and to share their happiness on this day.

_groomname_ and _bridename_ believe that marriage is the intimate sharing of two lives; a sharing that should not diminish, but enhance the individuality of each partner.

A marriage that lasts, is one which is continuously developing, and which each partner is developing, while growing in understanding of each other. Thus it is possible to share, not only the joys and successes, but also the burden of sorrows and failures.

Those of us who are witnessing their commitment to each other, hope that they will continue to look for the best in each other, share their best with each other; and give their best selves the opportunity to flower and grow, so that in the years to come, they will be able to look over their lives spent together, with an abundance of gratitude, and a minimum of regret.
