WELCOME
Family and friends, I call upon everyone here present, to be a fellow witness with me, in this union between _groomfullname_ and _bridefullname_.
We are here not only to witness their commitment to each other, but also to wish them well and every happiness for their life together.
_groomname_ and _bridename_ believe their union is founded on that sort of sincerity and understanding that leads to tolerance, confidence and trust.  They feel it involves respect for each others individuality, and a difficult task, the acceptance of each others weaknesses, prejudices and faults.  They believe too, that those qualities that have attracted each to the other, can obviously be best developed during a life spent together.
We are here because _groomname_ and _bridename_ do not, and cannot, live in isolation.  The experience of their love touches all of us, and it is fitting that we should celebrate their happiness.  This ceremony gives public recognition to the private experience of their love.  At a different level we share in it, we rejoice for them, and we support them.
A happy union, they know, will enable them to maintain a home where there will be love and stability, where you, their family and their friends, will find welcome, peace and support.  This will be a base from which the influence of their shared lives, and we hope lives strengthened today by this ceremony, can extend.
