Example One (includes the engagement ring)

(Groom) – “I gave you an engagement ring as a symbol of my love and of our promises to marry.  We are here today to full fill that promise. Will you allow me to remove this ring and put another in its place, to symbolise our marriage?”

(Bride) – “Yes” (Groom removes ring and give to best man)

(couple complete their wedding ring exchange and vows).  Then

Groom – “You wore this ring because you love me and promised to marry me, now wear this ring as a reminder of our beginnings and how we came to be.”

(Places engagement ring back on her finger)
