Good afternoon and welcome. My name is _celebrant_ and I am a qualified marriage celebrant and authorized by law to officiate this marriage today. I am honoured to be here and to be a part of this very special occasion.

We have come here today, to celebrate with _groomname_ and _bridename_ the occasion of their marriage.

_groomname_ and _bridename_ believe that marriage is a partnership where two individuals strive to grow for their mutual happiness; recognising that each partner has an individual life to lead, beliefs to maintain and talents to develop.

They believe that the positive love and respect they have for each other, and which has brought them here today, will enable them to realise their dreams and potential.

The essence of this relationship is the acceptance of another person, in his or her entirety, as love, companion and friend. Today, we want to say to you _groomname_ and _bridename_, “Let there be allowance for freedom of thought and independent action in your marriage, so that the sharing of your activities, done separately or together, develops a new purpose and enhances the quality of your lives”.
