OPTION1

Celebrant:

_groomname_ and _bridename_, in presenting yourselves here today to be joined in marriage, you perform an act of love.  This love can grow and develop and last, but only if you both decide to make it so.  A lasting and growing love is not guaranteed by any ritual, only by commitment and devotion to one another.  We are here today to witness you united in this love.  So I now ask this essential question to you both individually.

Celebrant to _groomname_:

_groomname_ do you take _bridename_ to be your lawful wedded wife, to every night ask if you can get her anything, to let her have some of your drink even though she just said she didn’t want one, to love and laugh together forever?

_groomname_:  I do. 

 

Celebrant to _bridename_:

_bridename_ do you take _groomname_ to be your lawful wedded husband, to let him know when he has missed a spot when shaving his head, to continue to mow the lawn and do other manly jobs whilst he is in the kitchen, cooking with no shirt on, to love and laugh together forever?
